Already Tried:
Nothing although I think it may have something to do with my Microsoft Office trial expiring. I purchased the full product online on 30/11/08 but am still getting messages saying my trial has expired and I need to convert to the full product. I have 3 essays to write for college in the next week - help please!!

What program are you using when you get this error?

When you purchased the full product, did you do anything to activate Office?

I'm using Microsoft word. I wasn't instructed to do anything to activate Office.

Answer

Click Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office. Is there an Activation wizard or something like that in there? If so, click on that and walk through the prompts and input the key that you got when you paid for the software.

I can't do it. It tells me that the original trial has expired and that I should convert to the full product (even though I have already ordered and paid for this!) If I do hit convert I put in the product key I got for the trial and it tells me to close and restart all windows applications to activate the converted windows. I do this and still get a reminder that the trial has expired and that i should convert to the full product. If I try to enter the product key I got for the online full purchase product it tells me it's the wrong code

I don't want to be patronizing, but are you sure that the code you entered from the full purchase is correct? Did you mistype any part of it?

Do you still have the disc that you used to install Office with?

If it is correct and you still can't get it activated, does the confirmation e-mail from MS for your purchase provide any way to contact MS? If so, I think that would be your best bet as something is not right there.
