Hello,

Have you by any chance upgraded to Windows Vista from Windows XP or 2000?

Either way, can you let me know where on your computer the cr2 files are located, and where on your computer you are trying to create the dng files?

I bought this computer a year ago with Vista

 

as part part of my effort to open my raw phto files, I downloaded the adobe converter dng - no luck - so I upgraded to CS 3 - however the CS 3 is not responding consistently and can't seem to get it activated.

My raw files or on my C drive in my picture dictory

Okay, I'm looking into your issue some more, but just came across this and thought I would link you to it.. It's a third party conversion program looks like it's only $40.00.. May be worth a try, if you are going to be doing this a lot..

Also, don't know if you have looked into it, but photoshop has a conversion plugin(Adobe Camera Raw) not sure if that's what you are using or not..
