  • Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  • Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • Remove the left IP end cap.

    Important: With the AIR BAG Fuse removed and the ignition switch in the RUN position, The AIR BAG warning lamp illuminates. This is normal operation, and does not indicate an SIR system malfunction.

  • Remove the AIR BAG Fuse from the fuse block.

  • Remove the hood latch cover retainers (2).
  • Remove the hood latch cover (1).

  • Remove the headlamp assembly bolts (5).
  • Remove the socket/bulb (4).
  • Remove the housing/lens assembly from the bracket.
  • Both headlamps need to be removed in this manner.
  • Drain the engine coolant.

  • Remove the radiator upper mounting bolts (1) and the upper radiator mounts (2).
  • Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  • Disconnect the forward discriminating sensor harness.
  • Remove the cooling fan assembly.

  • Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  • Disconnect the lower transmission oil cooler line from the radiator.
  • Lower the vehicle.
  • Remove the hood latch support bracket and the forward discriminating sensor with the harness.
  • Disconnect the upper transmission oil cooler line from the radiator.
  • Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.

  • Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose and the clamp (1) from the radiator.

  • Remove the condenser from the radiator, if equipped. It is not necessary to discharge the A/C System.
  • Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle.
