Hello,
I am sorry your kitty is having trouble.
How old is your kitty?
Does he go outside?
Is he neutered?
Is he squinting?
Are you seeing any discharge from the eyes?
Is he rubbing his eyes?
Is the black on his eye lid?
Let me know and I will try to help.....
Thanks for the additional information. It sounds like your kitty is experiencing a pigment change in his mucous membranes and eye lids. This pigment change is called lentigo, and is normal and benign. It can occur on eye lids, lips, nose and gums. It generally occurs as a kitty gets older. Since there is no squinting or discharge visible and your kitty appears to be fine otherwise, I think you are ok to watch your kitty. If you are really freaked about the changes you are seeing, you can have your kitty seen by his vet just in case. Please see the following website for more information on lentigo.
