Optional Information

Age: <1; Female; Breed: jack russell terrier

Already Tried:
First off, she is 4 months old, she was gagging and throwing up foamy stuff. She had grass/plant residue in bowel movement. I took her to the vet and she gave me medication for kennel cough, this was before I discovered the bowel movement. I saw that after I returned from the vet, but she refuses anything by mouth, even chicken broth, what the vet recomended and has since thrown up again. I do not want he to get dehydrated, she is alert, but not playful. This occurred this afternoon. I wanted to ask what plants are harmful for dogs/puppies. Should I give her the antibiotics and cough medicine anyway?

Answer

Hi XXXXXXX~

There are many, many plants that are toxic to dogs. A list of them can be found here:

http://www.doberdogs.com/Toxic.html

There's another list here: http://www.entirelypets.com/toxicfoods.html , that shows many toxic plants as well as some foods that are dangerous for pets.

I hope this helps.
