Thanks for the question Rose.

In direct answer to your question : A true obstruction in a dog's throat is an acute emergency.

Given the above I cannot give you any advice on home remedies etc., accordingly my advice is that you should have a vet check your dog out as soon as is practicable.

If I have not covered your question fully enough or you would like to ask more I will be online for the next hour or so and I will be at your disposal

shes breathing ok, I stuck my finger down her throath thinking maybe I could feel but to no avail. She keeps swallowing and it is keeping her from sleeping/relaxing, if I feel the outside of her throath I can feel one area that seems to be slightly larger, I'm not sure if thats normal. I think I'm more afraid than she is however she is restless.

Answer

Hello again Rose.

As I said a true throat obstruction would be a real emergency and the dog would be in real distress. It is good she is breathing OK.

When people feel the outside of throats { including some vets! } they can sometimes mistake the larynx for something stuck. Also you would rarely be able to feel these objects with your fingers.

There are other possibilities here such as throat infections ..

I'm pretty sure it's a bone fragment as I found a bone under the bed, my vet said bring her in tomorrow morning are there things I should watch for during the night.

Hello again Rose,

Thanks for the accept ...

All you can go is keep an eye on her and watch she suddenly does not get into any distress.
