i cracked the frame on the drivers side to the rear mirror it is a power mirror on a ford taurus se 2005 i bought the replace part last night now i am ready to get started

EXTERIOR MIRROR

Removal and Installation

All vehicles

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Vehicles with Mach 40 speakers

  1. If equipped, remove the speaker grille.

  1. Remove the speaker bracket.

1Remove the screws.
2Remove the speaker bracket.

  • Disconnect the speaker electrical connector.

  1. Disconnect the power exterior rear view mirror electrical connector.
  2. Position the water shield aside.

  1. Remove the power exterior rear view mirror nuts.

  1. Remove the power exterior rear view mirror.

1Push down on the mirror assembly to release the mirror flange.
2Roll the mirror assembly down and rearward.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
