i have taken risperidone for about two and a half years but now i am not having a period this is really getting me down because i am getting all symptoms of having a period. this has occured for the last 6mths. i am 41 and just want to know what you suggest for me to do as i am getting really down about this? please help.

i haven,t tried anything, i am on 2mg of risperidone and can,t reduce this because i am supposed to be on 4mg.

Thank you for your question.
There are reports of amenorrhea (loss of period) with risperidone. This usually goes away once the drug is stopped or switched out. If this is, as you say, is troubling for you, please talk with your prescriber.
