Question

I have been sick and my boss keeps bulling me to step down from my position or resign or take a leave of abcess. Every time i get better she is there bullinh me. Even when i had to go to the ER twice she said what do u want me to do about it? BUt i just want a lawyer that knows the E.E.O law and the FMLA laws and Civil Rights Law. I have worked at my job for more than 7 years and never been sick like this and the one time i do, i been gettin bullied or ingnored when i am at work sick and ect etc. I work with 3-4 year olds and my boss doesnt seem to understand that children carry alot of viruses and she just wont back off of me and i have all my medical info documented with my dr. and i am still seeing a GI dr and thr stress i am getting from her is not helping me heal. Please some one help. I just want to know my right. I work 9-5 M-F

Thanks for your questions here. You have the right to equal treatment consistent with other employees. What you have here is disparate treatment. They have singled you out here for unfair treatment. Consider filing with both EEOC and DOL.

Both of these agencies would investigate these kinds of complaints. They also forbid retaliation here. The investigation might result in fines to the employer. You would also have grounds to file if you are terminated or otherwise punished unfairly. Consider filing both in this situation.

You can also pay an employment lawyer here to put the employer on notice that you have filed such complaints because you have been treated unfairly and disparately in the matter. This would hopefully back them off if you think they are going to terminate you here. I wish you good luck..
