Question

I'm a flat-rate painter in pa. My ex-Employer denied me many raises, saying money was to tight. He then talked me into taking 20% of the hours that I turn to pay for a hourly employee who was suppossed to be my helper. After I agreed he took that employee away from me to run cars and help in the office. He also started cutting my labor times off the estimates. Yesterday another painter I know stopped in. My boss offered him a position, my position at alot higher rate. When I found out I confronted my boss. Instantly he started sceaming obscinities making threats. I didnt back down. He called the cops. After he got off the phone with the cops he picked up a golf club and started swinging it at me then punched me. I did hit him back. when the cops arrived I was arrested for tresspassing no assault charges. Was he legally aloud to treat me this way, is there anything legally I can do
