Optional Information

Vacaville, California

Already Tried:
Nothing really, my husband is waiting on getting the death certificates. The family 3 surviving children have gone through her apartment to clear it. His sister has pretty much taken all the jewlery and other personal possession have either been taken or boxed to donate to charity. We have copies of bank statements and some bills owed.

Accepted Answer

Personal property of minimal value doesn't need estate administration, assuming that the family can all agree on its distribution. If not, and the property is of some value, then you may want to hire an attonrey just to help you mediate any disputes.
