I have a 2004 Hummer. If you get cold air from driver side and hot air from passenger could it be the blend door motor has gone bad. How do you troubleshoot this and where is this motor located(on the bottom of the condender?

Hello, and welcome to JA!! yes you are thinking right. more than likely the drivers side temp door actuator is bad. is this a H2 or H3? and do you need detail info on replacement?

yes it is an H-2. The air has been working well till this week. good and cold. Now when the air is turned on the air from the driver's side upper vents are cool but not cold.Passenger side upper vents have very hot air coming from them.This has the rear air vents also which are cool air from them.
I has an a/c shop check pressures which they said were a little high(65).
Told me a/c comp fine and lots of water dripping from under drain ok. They said dash has to come out to get to the door actuator more than likely bad. Is there a way to trouble shoot to determine that this is the right fix and can I do it myself. I was an Aircraft mech for years but never did too much auto work especially with air conditioning.....Lol!Thanks for your response...Any idea what this actuator costs and difficult install.......

Ok, it does require the removal of the dash to replace left door actuator. the only way to correctly diag this concern, is with a GM tech @ scan tool. this scan tool can read real data. do have access to a GM tech 2 scan tool?

Thanks for all the information, I do not have access to this scan tool so guessI will have to have the dealer check it and do the required work to correct the problem. Thanks for all your help.
