I've got a gmc sierra '06. Recently the check engine light came on but the truck was running fine....I tried putting higher grade gas in and then the light when off. Last night, the light came back on again...a few mins later the engine died. I restarted a few times and it kept shutting off. After a few mins it started up fine and ran normally. Any ideas??

No I dont....is there any way I can find that info out myself. Also, this started happening when I was due for an oil change....and the oil gauge seems to be fluctuating a bit. I'm due for another one now.

You could take it to a local parts store in your area. They will most likely scan it for free.

Get it scanned and let me know the code number or numbers.
