Question

Have you any idea how much a new General Electrics Module should cost please. I've been quoted £270 +programming & fitting. The wiper blades keep stopping, which is quite unnerving when its raining. tested the motor and switch and are OK and it works when hooked up to the computer diagnostic machine.?

You can find it at the driver door b pillar area there is a sticker that will have the VIN on it. Or your registration should have it listed on the paperwork. Or driver side front windshield.

I think the VIN is XXXXXXX

Accepted Answer

Hello. The vin was not quite right but I went in under the veh listed and believe I have the correct part no. and price. The price is in us currency. The GM part no. is 61-35-6-942-042. The price at this dealership is 393.70. The install time would be 1 hour with a half hour to program. So the total would be 1.5 to replace at your local shops labor rate.

I hope this information is helpful. Thank you.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to check I was not getting overcharged and it seems the price stacks up correctly as is the approximate fitting time.

Many thanks

No problem. I understand your concern and it was a good idea to check. Unfortunately most of the cost is in the module itself. There is not much that is inexpensive on a BMW but it certainly is a great vehicle to own. Thank you for your accept.
