Dear XXXXXXX,
Can you tell me when you first noticed it? what were you doing?
On awakening, while outdoors doing an activity, etc.
Thank you for the additional information.
It is possible that this is from ruptured capillaries in the skin that sometimes become fragile as we age. They could have blead with or without trauma while you slept, or rubbing of your eyes in your sleep.
It is difficult to know for sure without an examination of the eye, because you do not have an event closely associated with the bruise. For example: if your eye was normal, and then you scratched it, and it then became bruised.
It could also have been an insect bite such as a house spider that was crawling across you while you slept, and when in your sleep you attempted to wipe it away, it bit you.
It can be that you injured yourself in your sleep, etc.
It does not sound serous to me right now, that is I do not think you are going to become blind. BUT you do want to get this looked at as soon as possible.
In the mean time, cold compresses may reduce the effect. Since aspirin has anti-coagulent properties, I do not recommend aspiring for this, but do recommend something for pain, such as tylenol or motrin.

Let me get justg a bit more information before I make addtional comments.
What are medications if any are you taking?
None at all I think I see what is going on with this bruise I think I just broke the capillaries
Thank you!
YOu are welcome; I agree, but you should still get it checked out.
