My mom has an 2002 Acura RL. The rear drivers window cable

My mom has an 2002 Acura RL. The rear drivers window cable needs replacing. We recieved the part and being a do it yourself family of course want to do it ourselves. I am wondering of there is any way to remove the inner door panel? There is very limited space to work and removing the part was a chore in itself. Is there a easier way to preform this task? I was going to purchase a repair manual online but, not knowing if this information was provided didn't want to waist the money. It is a 2 way cable system and replacement should be easy if you could just see what your doing! Can you help or offer any assistance with this problem.

  1. Grease all the sliding surfaces of the regulator where shown.
  2. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. NOTE: Roll the glass up and down to see if it moves freely without binding. Also make sure that there is no clearance between the glass and glass run channel when the glass is closed. Adjust the position of the glass as necessary.

Good luck,
Bob
