I am looking to purchase a 98' Larson Lxi 226 BR. 1. is this the original engine that this boat comes with(the discrepency is in the horse power, this one being 220 hp and nada says 250 hp. 2. What do the letters BR stand for?

The difference in the horsepower could be 220 horse is a carb motor and the 250 is fuel injected, they put different horse power motors in boats of the same model sometimes to keep cost of the boat down, the original dealer that sold it may have ordered it that way. BR usualy means "Bow Rider" and the boat will have an open bow with seating as apposed to a "Cuddy" that would have an inclosed bow with a sleeping berth in it.
