Do I have a right not to get involved because I really do not. Refuse subpoena because i know the constable and deputy are looking to hand me one.

Answer

No, it is not illegal to not answer the door, but the constable will eventually locate you and serve you. You cannot refuse the subpoena once they locate you and serve you and if you fail to appear, you can be subject to the sanctions of the court such as fines and jail.
