Hello XXXXXXXX,
A problem like this sounds like it could a restricted exhaust system & it is usually the catalytic converter.Remove an engine 0/2 sensor & install a pressure gauge. At 1500-2000 there should be no more than 1&1/2 psi back pressure.
A fuel system test is also a good idea. The pressure should be 60-66 psi & holding for at least 4 minutes. These vehicles are bad about fuel pumps failing & fuel pressure regulators leaking. If the fuel pressure does not hold ,keep this in mind,it can be a fuel pump or a pressure regulator leaking.
