Question

I have a 2007 HHR. I have had it about 11 months. In the first three months, the car started to vibrate when I braked going downhill. I took it back to the dealer and they brushed me off saying they test drove it and no problems according to their computer check or whatever it was they did. Within a week I had to take it back because it started doing it again and suggested that perhaps it might be pertinent or a good thing to check the rotors. They brushed me off saying no way my car was only four months old and it usually wouldn't do that. I insisted much to the irritation of the service guy. The brakes squeak all the time too and have taken it back since I had the car and they still insist there is nothing wrong with the brakes. Today I am yet again taking it back for the vibration and the squeaky brakes and would like to know what defense answer I can use to stop the service guy from brushing me off as a nutcase woman. Help?

I continue to take it back to the dam dealer. It is getting old and the answers that they give me only make me more disgusted when there is something clearly wrong. At one point, I asked the guy if he would say the same stupid suggestions to a man.

Accepted Answer

Hello XXXXXXXX. Take the technician for a drive and show him the complaint. You drive, then let him drive. Don't take the service writer, take the technician who is going to look at the car. This should get you verification. It's obvious you have warped brake rotors.
