Answer

you may have to break the latch then. if you cant unlock it with the key or remote then you will have to break it open to replace the latch or figure out why the lock doesnt work. sometimes you can stick a screwdriver inbetween the lifegate panal and the top of the latch and hit it with a hammer until it breaks. then the lifegate should open. i know this will be difficult since other components may break but this is how i would open it if it were mine. thanks for using just answer let me know if this helps or if you need further assist. thanks again Jon

where is the latch located at?

the bottom - on the right or the left?????

Accepted Answer

it looks like its on the drivers side. look for the lock and get a pry bar from the inside and tap it with a hammer. if you can get it then you may have to cut a hole in the lift gate panal to break the latch. i no it is a lot but this is the only way to open it. either try and just break the latch or cut a hole in the panal. see if this helps. thanks again Jon
