Question

an ins company that was paying on my wreck said they would settle with me for 2900.00 for my bodily injury and sent me the contract. I had to have it noterized and sent back. I waited 8 months for this settlement. She mailed me the check and it was deposit only so i had to take it to a check cashing place which i took checks before and also cashed my property damage check there from the same company a couple months before. The day I received the 2900.00 check I cashed it. A week later the man from the ck cashing place called my work and told my boss i wrote him a bad check. The lady at the ins company had put a stop payment on the ck. she called me and stated that there was a lien for a med bill for 1800.00 she was supposed to take out of that and she said she told me not to cash the ck..so she needs to send me another ck for 1100.00 and pay the attorny collecting the bill. now i have a detective calling me saying i will be facing felony fraud if she proves she told me not cash the ck
