Dear XXXXXXX - No one can force you to exercise your parental rights so the easiest way is to simply not be involved. You are not required to visit or have custody of your child. If your child is being adopted by someone else that person would have to submit paperwork for you to sign to permit the adoption.

If you are asking about child support, that is a parental obligation, not a right, so you would need permission from the court to terminate the support. No court I know of will permit you to stop paying support unless the child is adopted by another parent.
