problem has just recently surfaced
I want to take it in to get looked at tomorrow (day off) and don't want to get a run around.
need the car for 6 of 7 days at work so I don't have much down time to have it in the shop I am afraid that they may tell me to pay alot more money if it's going to be a priority :( is this going to be expensive fix that takes the car a long time in shop to fix?

I recently bought this car so I could drive it to WA from WI I honestly don't know the mileage could run outside and check?
but I had it winterized, oil changed, all that before I left weeks ago

Answer

Thanks,

It sounds like all it really needs is a good tuneup, such as having the spark plugs and plug wires replaced. When one of either the spark plugs or a plug wire fails, it will run rough and have a very noticable loss of power, especially when going uphill. A good tuneup with wire replacement should not run more than a couple hundred dollars.

can you tell me how much time to reasonably expect this to be fixed and how much money?

Accepted Answer

Hi,

This can all be done in one day. I recommend taking it to a shop like Goodyear or Firestone. They do this type of work A LOT, and if you drop it off early in the morning, they will have it ready for you that day. It will probably run around $200.
