Question

I have a 2002 S-10 ZR2 and my low beams won't come on. My high beams work though. I've checked my fuses and relays and they are all ok. What could be causing this?

We need to check for power at the yellow wire at the multifunction switch.

Yes there is power to it. The lights are working right now. I don't know why they seem to work and then just shut off and stay off when all my parking lamps and tail lights stay on. Could there be a short some where?

Answer

The multifunction switch probably has a bad connection inside the switch causing your concern that is why I wanted you to check for power at the switch.

should i get a new switch?

Accepted Answer

I recommend you replace the switch as you will most likely see the burned connection on the side of the switch when you remove it.
