Hi XXXXXXXX,

I'm so sorry to hear that you girl has problems with hypoglycemia.   You can help combat this problem by feeding very frequent small meals to keep the blood sugar levels stable throughout the day. If you are not feeding at least 4 meals a day, try that to help with the hypoglycemia. Or more frequent ones, if necessary to help prevent hypoglycemia. You can also keep nutrical on hand to help with low blood sugar. We frequently suggest a drop of pancake or karo syrup on the tongue for dogs experiencing hypoglycemia as well.

Puppies will lose thier puppy coat and get an adult coat in as they get older. So hair loss is not uncommon. You do want to watch for bald areas related to hair loss or excessive scratching as that might point toward a more serious condition such as mange, or allergies. Since she is matted, I would suggest a professional groomer and then daily brushing to remove shedding hair and to prevent matting in the future. Be sure and notify the groomer of your pup's hypoglycemia since stress can sometimes contribute.

I hope this information is helpful to you.
