My son's car a 1995 Tigra has a Texalarm AV2150 fitted. It started to suffer with a battery drainage problem. The fault was found to be the Texalarm master box, once removed from the vehicle the drain ceased. Is it possible have the unit repaired, if so by whom? Is a replacement available, if so again where?

Texalarm are as far as I know a Swedish company and whilst I have their details / contact details etc - I don;t have any english details but if you like I can give you the details I have ...

Again , Im not sure whether they would entertain fixing their systems or just supply of a new one - in which case if that is so, you may as well purchase and fit any other system available of which their are many..

Hi Mike,
Swedish contact details yes please. Can you please confirm they are still in business as I have been advised by somebody else that they went bust 4 years ago!!

For the sake of one small faulty electrical component in this day and age of waste and excess I feel it is well worth trying for a repair in the first instance rather than ripping out the old unit and throwing it away contributing to unnecessary waste and pollution.

I really hope that helps you -- I don't think they have a uk contact - I don't have a number for same as I said - but I do know Texalarm kits are for sale on good old ebay! But of course , if it does come to a whole new system, you may choose anything at all!
