Optional Information

2003 Ford Sport Trac XLS V-6

Already Tried:
took it to an auto parts store, they checked the read out and it said that its running lean on both sides

Accepted Answer

Well doodad. The most common cause of a lean condition would be a vacuum leak to the air intake. Check all the hoses very carefully for any that are disconnected or damaged. Lets start there/ . Steve

Thanks Steve S! I found a cracked rubber elbow hose at the front of the engine that was sucking air. Went to the auto parts store and replaced it......idles fine!. Had them reset the engine light, so lets hope this problems solved.

Thanks again.....your advice was right on the money!
