Not an Employment Law Question?
Question
I quit my commisioned sales job over 150 days ago and still havent received my last commission. The wage and labor board says I have to take him to small claims court but also that he has to pay me for the hours I worked which equate to only 20 hours. His lawyer wants to give me a check for right around eighty dollars and sign papers saying I wont seek any more. I feel this employer owes me at least XXX-XXXX dollars and when i refused the lawyer told me I was wasting his time. He is not my lawyer and I feel they are wasting my time. I live south of St Louis MO any advice on how to deal with this.

Answer
The easiest route would be to begin a small claims court action. If yu can show the commissions owed you can get a judgment and recover what it owed, and not some nominal settlement offer.
