This indicates that the "MOST" bus communication has failed . Also know as Media Oriented System Transport. This system uses a fiber optic communication system that is configured in a ring verses a traditional branch system. Therefore if there is a break in the ring that connects all of these said control units such as radio, nav, voice, telephone, cd changer, all will stop functioning. This may be caused by bad control unit such as the amplifier or navigation unit. Or a loose connection on the system or faulty fiber optic cable. The most common is a bad control unit. The control unit may receive information but does not pass it along to the rest in the ring. A dealer has the equipment to determine the last control unit that has receive information and thus able to locate the source of failure. Diagnostic fees for this should be about 1 hour or so depending on the difficulty in locating the malfunction. One thing to consider is if the system comes back up intermittently, this would indicate a more likely failure of a control unit that fails when at a higher temperature.
