Where did he come from and what do you know about his background?

Is he your only bird?

He is a "rescue bird" that was in the possession of a person who claims he became blind when he was about three. She got rid of him when he bit her when he became startled. He was the only bird of this other person; I have several birds including 3 cockatiels, 6 finches, and 2 conures. I am not familiar with amazon parrots, but this seems to be a problem (cataracts) with them.

I'm glad you've got him and are trying to do the best for him like this. How long have you had him now?
I gather that you have him housed by himself. Do you notice any problems with his eyes, like cloudy or flat greyish surface?

You've mentioned that he can see a bit, tell me more about what you've observed so far.

Do you have a vet for your flock?
