My name is XXXXXX XXXXXXX and I live in Qatar which is in the Middle East. I have some questions regarding business laws in the US hoping you could kindly answer for me. I plan to start my own online store business soon and researching through some of the Ecommerce methods & practices led me to the topic of Online Transactions. Further research showed me that having a US ground presence or at the least having a US bank account would be a more hassle-free option for my online business. This further led me to the topic of 'Incorporating in US' for non-US entrepreneurs. As a result, I found a lot of online companies providing this service to international clients. But I would like to know how far this procedure of 'Incorporating in US' and that too online is for real? Or are these online incorporation services firms just a scam? And the online companies to be found doing this are mostly in the regions of Delaware, Wyoming, Nevada.

You can open a bank account with a bank with offices in both the US and Qatar without having to form a corporation. Whether or not it is advisable to form a corporation depends on your business model and your tax situation. I would consult a tax accountant about the advantages and disadvantages of forming a corporation. A US corporation incorporated in one state still has to qualify to do business in each other state it does business in. So qualifying a corporation to do business in another state is pretty much the same amount of work whether it is a foreign or a domestic corporation.
