Hi XXXXXXXXXX. Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer. The other Experts and I are working on your answer. By the way, it would help us to know:
-How old is your Cat?
-What have you already tried?
-Is your cat giving birth right now, or are you inquiring about pregnancy?

My guess because of her size is that she is less than one year

Only feeding her and giving a safe and comfortable place to live. I have two other cats one male and one female (both fixed) who have accepted her into the family.

Inquiring about pregnancy. I know nothing about what I should be doing to help her.

I am on a fixed income and can not affort a local vet unless it is life threating and I do beleive cat can give berth with only a little help from us. Yes??

Accepted Answer

Hello again XXXXXXXXXX,

Yes, a cat usually can give birth without any problems or any help needed. However, there sometimes can be complications that could be life threating to both the cat and the kittens. Cats are usually pregnant for about 65 days. You will need to feed the female cat high quality kitten food, such as Iams kitten food or science diet kitten food. This will provide the female cat the proper nutrients for the kittens while still inside the mother and while nursing. Beyond that, keeping the cat in a warm safe place is the only special handling needed. I have included the link to a website that is filled with amazing details on cat pregnancy and birthing: http://www.cathelp-online.com/health/kitten4.php
