Dear Doctor, I am 25/male. I had appendices operation about a year ago. I believe its after that i been experiencing stomach upsets like gastric problems. May be it is due to some food allergies. I think that i am allergic to almonds, peanuts, cumin seeds etc. The reaction that i am having when i eat these foods are stomach upsets like gas is released from mouth and sometimes in the form of farts. These days i been experiencing problems like bloating of the stomach and gas is released from mouth. Sometimes i also feel like the stomach is hardened and when i pass the stool the stomach upset is relieved and it upset starts after a while. Could you tell how to cure thsi problem. SV, U.A.E

if you had your appendix removed you should be able to live a normal life. Most people do not need the appendix and do not present with problems after the appendix has been removed.

if you are allergic to almonds, peanuts and cumin seeds you should stay away from those and may be consider having an epi pen available. An epi pen in a pen that have a medication that you can inject in your thigh if you have an allergic response.

Some of the symptoms that you are described may be related to the diet that you have. you should consider changing your diet and observing and if there is a difference in the symptoms.

Food like rice, potato and bread are good for bowel rest and help you to see if the bad smell goes away and is related to your diet.
