Where did you actually perform the work for the company, and what is the legal basis for your lawsuit?
It sounds as though you might have a claim for age discrimination under Age Discrimination in Employment Act, if you can show that other, younger employees received more favorable treatment.
You will have to file the suit in the federal court in the location where the work was actually performed.
I would recommend that you contact the local bar association's lawyer referral service in the NC city where you worked, and ask them to give you the names of lawyers who handle plaintiff's employment law. If the work was in a fairly small city, you may have to go to a larger city's service, like Charlotte, or Winston Salem, whichever is nearer.

This suit would have so much more to it than age discrimination. Your answer was wonderful, however I need to obtain an attorney around Asheville or Hendersonville, NC.
I am unable to travel to Charlotte or Winston-Salem due to distance. I have called several offices in the Asheville & Hendersonville area and my calls have not been returned. Do you know of someone or can you help me find someone, in that area, that can help me? If so, that would be wonderful.
Please Advise. Thank you.
I can't refer you to anyone, since I don't know anyone in that area. I would suggest that you call the local bar association in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Asheville and Hendersonville. Almost all local bar associations have lawyer referral services that should be able to give you the names of attorneys inyour area who handle this type of case. Also, many lawyers in larger cities like Charlotte practice state wide -- or at least throughout a large part of the state.
If all else fails, you should contact the EEOC directly. They will help you file a charge of discrimination. You may be able to take that to an attorney and get them interested that way. Good luck!
