Question

I own a 98 half ton chevy silverado, diesel. My alternator and and all my battery wires seem to be tight although the ground from 1 battery to the other is of a vary small gauge. My problem is that I sometimes lose my charge and my truck dies, but it ll fire right back up again without issues, could this small gauged wire be my problem

Optional Information

1998 Chevrolet Z71siverado1500 Deisel

Already Tried:
Tightening my battery cables and changing my alternator, I just bought the truck 3 weeks ago and it has only done this a few times.

Accepted Answer

I would replace any suspect wires and also have the alternator and batteries tested. The truck will shut down under extreme high or low system voltage conditions.
