I have a 1998 deville with a factory cassette non amp; so i purchased a factoy cd non amp,it powers up but i get no sound. the cadillac dealer said i needed an amp to makeit work.is this so or do i need another harness. thk u

these two radios are both delcos oem. i have to turn the plug upside down to matchup.but i get no sound.

Hello,
It just needs to be hooked up differen't. You may have to get another harness to plug it in correctly. Or you can just locate which wires are what and try and splice them to the factory wires yourself. The amp should have nothing to do with it though. Hope this helps.
