Hello,

A deficiency of vitamin B12 can cause seizures. However, such a deficiency would be rare in a dog who is fed a commercial diet or a well-balanced home-prepared diet. If a dog had a heavy load of parasites, preventing it from getting nutrients from the food, that could be a factor. some dogs also have metabolic disorders that make them unable to metabolize certain vitamins, leading to deficiencies. There's no way for you to tell just by observation if your dog has a problem like this. You should discuss this with your vet, or consider seeing a veterinary neurologist at the nearest veterinary teaching hospital.
