Answer

Hi,

The type of fluid you need is a synthetic ATF called Kia Red-1 ATF. To my knowledge the dealership is the only place to find it. Hope this helps.

I think there are other synthetic oils, other than just manufactured by Kia only, I am in Spain, and would have thought other makes would have been suitable, ie from Spain or the UK, siutable for a Kia, Carnival, 2.9 diesal, Automatic. simular to a DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid.

Accepted Answer

This is the only factory accepted fluid. Any synthetic ATF would be suitable, but this is the only one that will keep your warranty intact.
