my 2yr. old havanese can go days without having an accident in the house, i think that we are trained because we bring her out often, she does not go to the door,or ask to go out, she's so smart in so many ways, how do i get her to ask to go out and stop pooping in the house, thank you

Already Tried:
taking her out every 30 minutes, praising her when she does it outside,unfortunately, last nite i got so angry, i put her out and then i put her in her cage for the nite and usually she spends the night in our bed, this am i wouldn't make eye contact with her, i put her out and gave her a treat and said good girl, and put her in her cage and left for work, i thought, i would try not talking to her except when she goes out, hoping at some point she would connect the two, but its breaking my heart, because she's used to alot of attention from me and i love her too
