1997 S-10 4x4 pickup auto V-6 will not crank or start. Batt good, starter good, just replaced ingniton swithch, same problem. Turn the key and all dash lights come on, fuel pump runs but will not crank or start. WHAT NEXT??

Already Tried:
checked fuses all good,checked starter it cranks when hot wired, replaced ignition swithch no change.

Check the under hood fuse panel check the 40 amp maxi fuse labeled IGN A. Try swapping the starter relay with another relay to test the relay. Check fuses labeled IGN C 20 amp and CRANK 10 amp.

There was no under hood fuse panel and no fuse labled IGN A. The parst store was able to sell me a 40 amp relay based on your info. I was then able to match it to 3 identical relays mounted on the fire wall. I replaced all 3, the engine now cranks but still will not start. The coil is sparking at the base of the wire so I will replace it next.

You may want to replace the coil wire as well.
