Question

I have three German Shephards I give 2000mg of Fish Oil twice a day. I use the human grade. Is this to much? Is Human fish oil to strong? All of my dogs are approx 100 pounds with one 116.

Hi XXXXXX,

I recommend a dosage of 180mg per 10 pounds for dog with dry and brittle nails that are splitting.   If your dogs do not have that problem, I would reduce the amount you are giving a little. A starting dosage would be around 2000 or even 2500mg for a 100 pound dog, but for a daily maintenance dosage, I would cut back to 1500mg per day.
