Hello XXXXXXXXXXXX,
Urinary incontinence is fairly common in older female dogs. The most common reasons are either hormone responsive incontinence or incontinence due to a incompetent urethral sphincter. The most common treatments are either estrogen replacement or phenylproponalomine. Prednisone can increase urination and can make incompetence worse - so if you lower the dose of prednisone or get her off of this after the skin condition - it may go away. It is usually recommended that you check a urine sample to make sure that there is not an infection or evidence of bladder stones. If everything checks out okay than they usually try phenylpropanlomine first. If this doesn't take care of the problem than there are neurological reasons for incontinence which can be treated with other medications.
I hope this was helpful, if you need more information - just reply to your question.
