I have a "Show Cause Order" that basically states that I have to Show Cause on or before 13th October 2008 why relief claimed in the foregoing Motion should not be granted for possession of my property in Baltimore, Maryland....I seems to be a bit ambiguious to me. Please assist.

what is this in regard to? a foreclosure? or some sort of criminal action for forfeiture proceedings?

well, the hearing is your opportunity to go in an provide proof that you do not owe any back payments in mortgage - if you have that evidence. if you owe the monies, you might want to consult with a lawyer in your area who can go in and mitgate the matter for you
