Question

In the initial separation when the husband leaves the house, can the wife take control and refuse to give the husband access to the only bank account that has his entire paycheck direct deposited into? She has no reportable income it is a joint account and my check is completely direct deposited in full.

no. neither of you can make unilateral decisions like that on joint holdings. if she is doing that, then you need to contact a lawyer in your area asap so that a letter can be written to her stating that she needs to allow you access and so you two can work out something so the bills continue to get paid, etc.
