Hi there,
These can be relatively frustrating on how the spring is supposed to line back up. I dont have a picture, but I will describe it.
The end that has a flat spot goes under the ledge over the bulb and the "U" shaped part sits in the raised crevice and the screw goes over that part. I know this is probably not a big help but here is my advice if you can figure it out:
Take your other lamp assembly out and look at the way the other one is held in and match it.
P.S. With these type of bulbs, try not to touch the bulb with your fingers as the oil on your skin can reduce the life of the bulb.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
You should be able to remove the drivers headlamp assembly without taking the battery out. There should be a couple 10mm bolts that hold it in and the whole headlamp assebly can come out so you can look at the bulb from the back with the assembly sitting on your workbench.
This makes changing the bulbs much easier than trying to do it while the assembly is still mounted to the car.
