Optional Information

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6 cylinder

My battery was dead so I purchased a new battery, and when I shut down the motor the cooling fan continues running.

Accepted Answer

Hi. This is caused by the pulse width modulated fan relay sticking on. If it sticks on it will not shut off when the key is turned off. The relay is mounted to the sheet metal under the right headlamp. The front bumper cover has to be removed to replace the relay.
