Question

I have a 2005 325 xi. When I try to open the trunk manually or by pressing the trunk release button under the dash, nothing happens. The only way I can open the trunk is by pressing the button on the remote. Can you tell me what's going on and what needs to be done? Thanks!

Accepted Answer

The trunk lock could be in " valet " mode . This mode locks out the switch .

Make sure the key slot in the trunk is in the vertical position and not the horizontal .

Thanks
