2002 540i radio and navigation shut off. I removed fuses, all okay..radio came back on, but navigation/computer screen is black. It appears to power on but remains blank. All the radio buttons still work and the tilt button for the tape player works, just no display... I removed battery for about 30 min...no help...any ideas

Answer

Sounds like the navigation system in the trunk located in the rear left side has gone out. This is common for your model. You can try unpluging the unit and letting it sit for 30 min then try to reattach. If this does not work then your looking at a replacement.
