i have a 2004 bmw x3 2.5i ,had the oil changed with   approx 500 miles left before i had to change the oil, how do reset the computer for the new oil service

Hello, the procedure is as follows: sit in drivers seat, close the door, press and hold the S/R button in the instrument cluster," the left button". While holding button turn key on without starting. Continue to hold button until a display of "reset" appears. Release the button and then press and hold again until "reset" starts to flash. release one final time and press once without holding. Your done. A display of 15000 will appear when successful. This is kind of tricky and may take a few tries. Start procedure with key off.
